Tim Murphy, Afternoons, 2pm-7pm

Tim Murphy has show business in his blood. His grandmother was a circus performer parachute jumping from hot air balloons in a travelling show. His father was born during the winter layover in Florida and travelled with show on summer breaks from school. Tim never ran off to join the circus, but radio was the next best thing.

His radio career has taken him all over the country programming and consulting stations in Seattle, Pittsburgh, Houston, Nashville, Los Angeles, Dallas and, of course, right here in Mid-Missouri. Not bad for a kid from Lake City, Michigan (population 723 - If you look at the back of your left hand it is located about halfway between the first and second knuckle of your ring finger). He also took a three and half year detour into the music business where he worked with the likes of Dolly Parton, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jack Ingram, and others.
